Support Anti-Poaching Dogs and Rangers Fighting to Protect Africa’s Wildlife.

Dogs 4 Wildlife deploy highly trained conservation dogs and advanced ranger programmes across Southern Africa — achieving up to a 75% reduction in poaching. Donate to help stop wildlife poaching and protect endangered wildlife.

By donating to Dogs 4 Wildlife, you are not just supporting our front line efforts, you are also helping to support the communities and localised projects of wildlife crime prevention and conservation, giving hope to people and wildlife across Africa.

Every single donation, no matter the size, makes a direct and measurable difference. From funding the food and veterinary care of our conservation dogs, to equipping rangers with the tools they need to patrol some of Africa’s most remote and dangerous landscapes, your generosity is what keeps this operation running.

A donation doesn’t buy comfort, it fuels courage; kilometre by kilometre, patrol by patrol.

Together, we can protect the wildlife that future generations deserve to inherit.

Wildlife conservancies supported across Southern Africa

Rangers trained in advanced canine conservation techniques

Reduction in poaching across all active conservancies

Since 2016, Dogs 4 Wildlife has been at the forefront of conservation dog deployment across Southern Africa. Our highly trained K9 units work alongside ranger teams to detect poachers, track wildlife and protect endangered species — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Every donation directly funds the dogs, the rangers and the communities that make this work possible.

As Seen On

Wildlife charity

Our rangers undergo intensive training programmes designed to equip them with the skills needed to operate in some of Africa’s most challenging environments. From tracking and surveillance to K9 handling and community engagement, every ranger that graduates from our programme becomes a frontline defender of wildlife.

Each ranger is trained in advanced bush craft, anti-poaching tactics and the psychology of working alongside conservation dogs. They learn to read the landscape, understand animal behaviour and respond to threats swiftly and effectively, often in remote areas with little to no backup.

But it doesn’t stop there. Our rangers are also trained as community ambassadors, building trust with local villages and educating communities on the importance of wildlife conservation. Because protecting wildlife isn’t just about stopping poachers, it’s about changing hearts and minds for generations to come.

Wildlife charity

Our canine units are the backbone of the Dogs 4 Wildlife operation. Each dog is carefully selected from birth for their drive, temperament and natural ability, and from that moment, their journey to becoming a world class conservation dog begins.

Training takes months of dedicated one-on-one work between dog and handler. Our dogs are trained in scent detection, tracking, apprehension and obedience, developing the razor sharp instincts needed to detect a poacher hidden in dense bush or track an animal across kilometres of open savannah. Every skill is built on trust, repetition and an unbreakable bond between dog and handler.

From Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds to Springer Spaniels and Labradors, each breed brings its own unique strengths to the team. Whether it’s the explosive speed and aggression of a Malinois on patrol or the extraordinary nose of a Springer detecting illegal wildlife products at a checkpoint, our dogs are trained to excel in their specialist role and to work seamlessly alongside their human partners in the field.

Reilly Travers

Park manager and head of Anti Poaching Operations at the Imire Rhino and Wildlife Conservancy, Zimbabwe. Reilly’s grandparents Norman and Gilly Travers founded Imire in 1948 with a great passion for wildlife and conservation, which led to the establishment of Imire as a wildlife conservancy in 1972. To date Imire has successfully released 11 rhino into the wild. Imire’s Black Rhino Breeding Programme is world-renowned, helping to protect Zimbabwe’s heritage with the successful re-introduction of this incredible endangered animal back into the wild.

Jacqui Law

Jacqui gained her Bachelors Degree with First Class Honours in Animal Behaviour and Welfare in 2015. She grew up on a small holding helping raise various species of animals, including a breeding programme for endangered parrots. This led to a lifelong passion for working to help protect and support species survival. As a current professional dog trainer and behaviourist, working with animals is a lifestyle choice as much as a passion. Being part of a team that is helping to support both animals and their carers is the pinnacle of her career to date.
